With over 35 years of executive-level experience in the casino gaming industry, Mike has honed a sharp strategic vision and leadership prowess, including nearly two decades with one of the largest gaming companies on the Las Vegas Strip. His career spans diverse markets, from Mississippi to the Caribbean and Mexico, where he spearheaded the successful opening and operation of multiple casinos, demonstrating his ability to navigate complex challenges and drive organizational success.
A Midwest native, Mike graduated from Purdue University with a degree in management, a foundation that has fueled his impressive track record in business. As a lifelong animal advocate and current foster parent, he channels his passion into Path to Furever Home, leveraging his extensive business acumen to guide the 501(c)(3) with fiscal discipline, innovative strategies, and a clear focus on sustainability. Mike’s leadership ensures the organization thrives as it pursues its mission to connect animals in need with their forever homes, blending his professional savvy with a deep-rooted dedication to making a difference.

Board of Directors, Vice-President
As Vice-President of the Board of Directors for Path to Furever Home, Jodi Codol brings her life long love of animals. Jodi has over 25 years experience in the teaching field. She has been an early elementary school teacher with CCSD for 24 years. Jodi loves working with children and animals.
Jodi was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. She graduated from Valparaiso University with a Bachelors of Science degree in elementary education; as well as a masters degree in education from Grand Canyon University. She moved to Las Vegas in 1999 to begin her teaching career. Jodi married her husband Jason in 2004 and together they have 3 children.
Fostering dogs is what brought Jodi to the animal rescue world. It is where she met Cheryl Connors and shared in her vision of animal rescue. When Cheryl decided to start her own rescue Jodi jumped on board, determined to help as many animals as possible!
